Wet Waste Reception Station
Ringway’s innovative solution to divert waste from landfill and reduce water consumption from gully cleansing operations in North Yorkshire.
An excellent example of recycling and significant reduction in landfill.
David Campbell and Siobhan Riordan:
It’s something that we want to share with the industry and we are really proud of the recognition that we’ve achieved through this Award and also our hard work in working with the Environment Agency.
I think the [judges recognised] our sustainability strategy and also the wider use of Ringway’s technologies to recycle products that we normally consider as waste and the significant carbon and water savings that we’ve achieved through installation of this product.
The Highways Magazine Excellence Awards are really important to the industry. It’s our industry, we feel part of it and by winning this prestigious Award, we feel that we can show our competitors and our colleagues in the industry that we care about our environmental credentials.
